About Me

Farmer's Wife: Living simply is my motto. As the wife of a full-time dairy farmer, we don't live like many folks around us. We don't ever vacation and we don't go to a restaurant very often. Our kids say the word "restaurant" with awe! And that's just the beginning of the differences. We have cows that need milked twice a day - and yes, every day!! My husband does not have a normal 9-5 job and I know that he would not want life any other way. He has the heart and soul of a farmer and that is one of the many things I love about him. Farming is not just his job, it's our life. But as many people look on our life with sadness because we are missing out - I love to "Breathe Deeply" and savor all the wonderful things that we enjoy and take for granted by living this life. We love the land and bounty that God provides through it and the creatures that He has made. The smell of drying hay in the field, the sight of cows in pasture, kids running barefoot through the grass. Breathe deeply - we've only one life to live - let us savor every moment.
